This cartridge is the Legend 200 Grain SCHP 460 SW. The .460 S&W Magnum round is a powerful revolver cartridge designed for long-range handgun hunting in the Smith & Wesson Model 460 revolver. Its design is based on a lengthened, more powerful version of the popular .454 Casull. Smith & Wesson claims that the .460 S&W is the highest velocity revolver cartridge in the world, with velocities up to 2,409 feet per second, operating at chamber pressures (65,000 psi max) normally reserved for magnum rifle cartridges. This cartridge is loaded with a 200 grain solid copper hollow point (SCHP) projectile, a bullet equally at home in hunting, varmint control, home defense, concealed carry and target shooting. An SHCP projectile will not corrode, change shape or cause unwanted pollution, making it an acceptable option in areas which have gone “lead-free,” including ranges and hunting areas.
